The project aims at increasing the access to education for children and young people from disadvantaged categories by implementing a package of integrated, complementary educational and social services. The project also aims to increase the number of the beneficiaries who can access the services and their improved quality.
The beneficiaries of the project are children who have left the school or they have never been enrolled in school because of poverty, therefore they have passed school age in mainstream education, as well as children at risk of school dropout who cannot afford the necessary costs of attending school or kindergarten. These children come mostly from families who do not have the economic capacity to cover the necessary expenses for schooling (uniform, backpack, school supplies, books etc) and they are forced to work to contribute to family income. These children have neither the time nor the family support to study or to do their homework, so they need help to meet grade level.
